The Derm Center is a full service office providing general medical and cosmetic dermatology, dermasurgery, lasers, plastic surgery, and esthetician and medical spa treatments all under one roof. Offices are located in Bethesda and in Germantown. For over 25 years,under the guidance of the medical director Dr. Roberta F. Palestine, the Derm Center staff works together to develop a coordinated treatment plan that is customized for the individual patient.

How long have you been in business?
Roberta F. Palestine, M.D. is the founder and director of the Dermatology & Clinical Skin Care Center and has been in practice since 1982.
What is your primary product or service?
We have the expertise, the experience, and the breadth of services to meet all of your cosmetic and medical dermatology needs which includes comprehensive aesthetic, rejuvenation, and medical treatment options for all skin types.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Dr Palestine received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, her medical degree with honors from the University of Rochester, and she attended the world-famous Mayo Clinic for her residency in dermatology. At Mayo, she received the coveted Paul A. O'Leary Award in recognition of excellence in patient care. Dr. Alison Ehrlich received her medical degree from George Washington University, completed her residency at University of Kansas Medical Center and was a Research Fellow at NIH. Dr. Ehrlich has a particular interest and expertise in contact dermatitis. Dr. Joseph Lee received his M.D. and Ph.D degrees as well as completed his residency at State University of New York. His hospital credentials include NIH as well as Suburban Hospital. Dr. Iris Rubin completed her internship and received her medical degree from Harvard University. She completed a Clinical Fellowship at Massachusetts General and was Education Chief Resident at Harvard. Dr Rubin has a particular interest and expertise in Port Wine Stains. Dr. Geeta Shah received her medical degree at Northeastern Ohio Universities, was the Chief Resident at Case Western Reserve and a Laser Fellow under Dr Suzanne Kilmer in California. Dr. Shah has a particular interest and expertise in cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Thomas Yu received his medical degree from the University of Maryland and completed his internship at Johns Hopkins. His residency and Fellowship were with the University Hospital of Columbia University in New York. Dr. Yu has a particular interest and expertise in Mohs Surgery. Dr. Khalique Zahir received his medical degree from West Virginia University. He completed residencies’ at both West Virginia University and Yale and was a postdoctoral Fellow in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery also at Yale as well as at Vanderbilt University.

We accept cash, insurance and credit cards. We also have several financing options for cosmetic procedures.

We service the greater Metro DC area including Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Rockville, Kensington, Potomac, McLean, Tyson's Corner, Great Falls, Gaithersburg, Damascus as well as Washington DC
